Moving on Up

We have moved to another new class at school!! Addy has moved to the lower 2 year old class. This was really hard on us me this time!! Addy had just become completely attached to Mrs. Evelyn and we me hated to leave her and Mrs. Whitney!! But on the first day she did fantastic! Addy walked right in and never looked back at me. Kinda sad for me. :( The only problem she is having is not sitting still at the table. (never would have guessed that. ha ha.. Insert sarcasm text) We have been busy as usual the last couple of weeks. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving and once it was over Josh, Addy, and I packed up and headed north to Mentone, AL. My boss has an incredible place up there he allows us to use and we are so very grateful!!! While in Mentone we drove over to Chattanooga and went to Rock City and rode a train to the North Pole!! This was our first chance to see Santa this year. And most likely our last encounter for the year. She wasn't too thrilled to see him. Hopefully that will change pretty quick! It was a quick and busy trip. We thought because we had been on the go so much Addy was just ill from being tired. Turns out she ended up having the "hand foot and mouth" disease. We didn't have a bad case, but it still made for one grouchy little girl!

Climbing

In the past few months my little girl has turned into the biggest climber ever! She climbs on or in anything possible. Knowing the whole time she will get in trouble. She climbs on top of my kitchen table, in all my cabinets, on the tables at school, and in or on top of all her toys. She knows the whole time she will get in trouble, but just grins and accepts the consequences.

In order to break her from climbing we attempt putting her in time out. This picture looks pitiful! But contrary to what it looks like she was laughing and giggling the whole time she was "suppose" to be being punished!

Her new favorite word is Uh-Oh. I just love this pic.

How much trouble can she really get in when she grins like this!! I love this little girl with all my heart! I couldn't have asked for a better gift from God!! She's amazing!

Happy Birthday Chris

Last weekend we took a road trip to Georgia!!! We had a blast surprising Chris for his 30th birthday!! He new something was up, but didn't have a clue who was coming! He won't admit it but he was pretty surprised! We went and ate mexican Saturday and of course Chris had to wear the hat and whip cream!! :) (He was not happy about this)

I have to give my little girl credit for being such an awesome kid on the trip there and back! Its about a 7.5 hour drive and on the way over there she only slept for maybe an hour!! She hardly ever cried. Aunt Laken went with us so we sang songs and played. Coming home she slept for about 3 hours and was asleep before we hit the interstate headed home.

Chris we hope you had a fantabulous birthday!! We really enjoyed coming over! You have accomplished a ton in your short 30 years and we know you will be even more successful in the next 30! We love you very much and will see you soon!!! (P.S. - Addy told me to tell you "Thanks for letting me torture your cat")

The Fair and Halloween

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. :(. And the holidays are coming up so it will probably get worse. Its just really hard getting on the computer when I have a toddler who thinks its hers and that she deserves my full attention. But I wouldn't have it any other way. She is so much fun right now! Everyone that says it just keeps getting better as they get older is completely true! Life isn't easy with an active little toddler and my house isn't clean, but she is worth all the laughs and giggles and messes!! We had the fair in Laurel a couple weeks ago. Addy wasn't quite tall enough to ride any rides, but she got a purple ball and was satisfied for the entire night!!

Next we had halloween!! My little girl was an angel (which completetly describes her personality. ha ha) She was the prettiest angel on the planet!! We went to zoo boo the Sunday before Halloween and Addy wasn't impressed! It is for older kids, Addy got her one sucker and was done! Halloween night we went to JCJC for treats in the streets and met up with Mamaw Barbara, Danielle, BJ and their crew. She has more fun there just roaming around. Finally we came home to our street and saw the best neighbors in the world!!

Pageant Princess

My precious baby girl was in her second pageant. I just knew she was going to be shy and I was going to have to walk her across stage. In fact she was completely opposite. She strutted across the stage and waved the whole time. She did absolutely perfect. I was one proud mom!!! We won 1st alternate!

New Addition

We have a new addition to our family. She was born August 24th and is just beautiful!!! Her name is Hanna Brook!!! I love this little family and am so thankful they take us in as their own!! Congrats Danielle, Bj, Harley, Hayden, and Hunter!!!!

The Color Dash

Labor day weekend Josh, Addy, Laken, and I loaded up and headed to Birmingham to meet Chris and Kim! We had a great weekend. We did a little shopping and lots of eating. We ate at the cheesecake factory and dreamland BBQ!! They were both delicious. Even Josh said dreamland was good. (he never likes any food!!). We also took a little adventure Sunday and hiked to falling rock falls. It was absolutely gorgeous!

Then Monday we ran the color dash!! It was the most fun 5k I have ever ran. There were thousands and thousands of people and it was pouring down rain!! When I say pouring I mean thunder and lighting and FLOODING!! We were soaked! But will definitely go back next year!

14 Months and Random facts

14 very short months have come and gone. My baby I had just a few months ago has become a full fledged toddler. And I love every minute. I am amazed everyday at the things she learns daily.

She knows where her eyes and feet are. She knows a dog says woof woof and a bird says tweet tweet. She knows the difference between hey and bye. But my favorite thing about this is she won't wave until after we leave or someone looks away. And then she waves all day long.

Addy's favorite foods include: spaghetti, yogurt, slice cheese, Mac n cheese, crackers, Cheetos, pancakes (without syrup), and anything sweet. She has learned nana and papa keep her push ups in the bottom freezer outside, and she will go stand at the back door until you take her out to go get a push up.

Words: dadadadada (still all the time). Side (outside), ma ma, juice, uh-oh,, tree, sshhh, eyes, thank you, hey, bye, choo choo, ball (when she has a ball she counts one, two, three and be prepared because on three she is throwing it).

Although I think I have the sweetest girl on the planet, she can go from zero to fit throwing in half a second. If she doesn't get her way or what she wants be prepared for a fit. (but it is a cute fit.) ha ha.

Addy started daycare full time on July 30th and has been doing great. She moved up to the 1 year room the next week. They are on a much more strict schedule and addy seems to have adapted most of the time pretty well. In the mornings at 8 they now walk to breakfast in the cafeteria to eat. After breakfast sometimes they go outside and other times they come back to their room for activities. At 10:30 they go back to the cafeteria for lunch. After lunch they come back to the room for nap. (addy knows which nap mat is. Hers and she goes straight to it, lays down, passes out, and is the last one awake almost everyday). Finally snacks at 2 and I pick her up around 5:10. She quickly runs to me and starts saying bye to the teacher. I love that little grin after a long day at work.

Prayers Needed

These past two weeks have been kinda crazy. Gran Gran had a simple procedure done, and hasn't been well since. Tuesday I get a call from mom and Papaw Eddie has had a stroke and is in the hospital. Things look better today, but we don't know all the facts. And finally tomorrow is Addy's last day to stay with Nana for the summer. She starts daycare full time Monday. And then the next Monday she will move up to the one year old room! Bitter sweet. My baby girl is growing too fast!!

July Craziness

July has been a crazy busy month. We stayed at home instead of traveling for Josh because he has been taking Cal IV this month. (He has done great by the way 2 test so far and 100 and 102.) Addyson has been very sickly this month. We started at the end of June with her one year check up. As I mentioned earlier she had not felt very good when we went to her first year check up. Well the sickness escalated from there. Between colds, teething, viruses, fever, throwing up, and the finally Addy got the Chicken Pox!!! Ugh!!! They made their appearence from the vaccine she recieved at her one year check up. And although she has had all these problems she has still been my happy go lucky, silly, climbing, fit throwing, fun loving,watermelon eating, dryer hiding,adorable little girl!

Summer Vacation with Great Friends

July has been a crazy busy month. We stayed at home instead of traveling for Josh because he has been taking Cal IV this month. (He has done great by the way 2 test so far and 100 and 102.) Addyson has been very sickly this month. We started at the end of June with her one year check up. As I mentioned earlier she had not felt very good when we went to her first year check up. Well the sickness escalated from there. Between colds, teething, viruses, fever, throwing up, and the finally Addy got the Chicken Pox!!! Ugh!!! They made their appearence from the vaccine she recieved at her one year check up. And although she has had all these problems she has still been my happy go lucky, silly, climbing, fit throwing, fun loving, adorable little girl

1ST Birthday

We had Addyson's first birthday party this Saturday!! It was a huge success!!! A big thanks to all my family that put in lots of hard work and time to be there and help set up! Mom (Nana)- we couldn't have done it without you!! You were a big help in the planning, running errands, and decorating.. thank you so much for everything! Aunt Laken - where do I begin??? You are alway such a big help and without you I would loose my head! Shelley - Your help Friday was amazing!! I would have forgotten something had I not had you there to ask me a gazillion questions! Kimberly - Your cupcakes were AMAZING as always!!! Everyone loved them especially Addy!!! Danielle - You listening to me planning for the last 6 months was a huge help!!! And the tomato sandwiches were a HUGE hit!! I have gotten tons of compliments on them!!! Aunt Karla - Watching Addy friday night I know was hard, hehe, but it was a huge help and she loves it when you play with her. :) Also thanks to the many guests that came to make this day so special for my sweet little girl and our perfect little family!I am blessed beyond measure and can't wait to see what life has in store for us! To my dearest Addyson Jewel,Wow how time has flown. You are my perfect little girl and I could not have asked for anything better. You make me smile all day. You and I have so much fun (just tonight we giggled for about an hour while you ate your supper and played with me. :) ) You have grown so much in the past year which in turn has allowed me to grow and become a better person. I thank you so much for that. You make me want to live life to the fullest. I don't remember what I filled my time with in the past before you, but what ever it was it wasn't near as fun as you!!! I love you my sweet girl, and will always be here for you no matter what!! I am so excited to see what life has to bring with you in the future! You have added so much joy to your Daddy, Chaser, and I and we love you with all our hearts! You are one special girl and your birthday party proved just how much you are loved!
