And Another Busy Week...

This week has been another busy busy week in our lives.  Poor Addy never gets to stay at home.  We are always on the go.

Sunday was a very busy day.  Our Uncle B was leaving to go to North Dakota to work on Monday, so Sunday we went to eat at O'Charley's with the family.  We also went to see Papa Mike at Wesley and had cookie cake for Jeremy and Brennan.

We LOVE you very much Uncle B and will miss you like crazy! Good luck on your new adventure!  We are so proud of you!

Also we got to meet some new people this week.  And one of our favorites was our cousin Saylor.  She and Addy got to meet for the first time Sunday.. and she is just precious!

Tuesday we got to see Baby Hunter again! And our Aunt Barbara, Danielle, Harley and Hayden!! We love you guys so much!  Addy and Hunter will be staying together once I go back to work and they are going to be great friends!! I can't wait to watch those two grow up together!

We also had more company Tuesday night Aunt Karla came to stay the night with us! I think she enjoyed it.  :)

I got some advice from a family member to write down everything.  So with each blog I am going to try and recapture any of our firsts or anything that was accomplished during that time.  So here goes.  Some firsts for the week include our firsts finger nail trim( 6/28/11).  She is also beginning to grow out of some of her newborn clothes.  This makes me happy and sad at the same time.  She is growing so fast already but I am ready for her to be able to wear all her cute clothes that are 0-3 month that she can't quite fit into yet.

We are also trying to be better about starting a night time routine.  This is going to include a bath at about 8:30 or 9.  Then eating and getting ready for bed.  Then we are going to bed.  Well in starting that this week it has been quite adventurous.  We started this on Monday night and we ended up getting two baths because Addy decided to pee on me and the kitchen floor once we got her out of the tub.  So Tuesday night we try the routine again and what happens???  Addy thinks she needs to pee on Aunt Karla. Ha ha... Finally Wednesday night we did much better and didn't have an accident.  YAY!!

Our 2nd Week Home

We are still doing great!!! Addy is such a good baby.  She hardly ever cries.  She does whimper a little when  she gets hungry and every so often her tummy will hurt.  Other than that she hardly ever cries.  Her umbilical cord fell off on 6/14/11, so she got her first bath on 6/15/11 and she did great!!!  She loves her bath time and will just sit there and stare all day.  She is going to be another little fish.

This is a picture right after her first bath.

I was getting ready one morning and she did start screaming and I went to find out why.  She had a hand full of her hair and she was steadily pulling it.  The louder she screamed the harder she pulled.  And poor thing all i could do was laugh.  Finally I got her to let go and she was fine!

We also went back to the doctor on Tues. 6/21/11 and she is now 7lbs and 8 oz. and is 20 & 5/8 inches long.  The doctor said everything looks perfect!  She holds her head up way better than I ever thought possible at her age.

This is one of my favorite pictures.  I was in the kitchen cleaning up and walked in the bedroom and found all three sound asleep.  (I tried to get Chaser, but as soon as I made a step he was up.)

Things have not changed in the fact that I am still a procrastinator.  So we are still working on her room.  This is the latest addition.  Its all her bows!!  And I love them all!

The Week in a Nutshell

Wow!!! The last week was full of "adventure" for lack of a better word.

Thursday June 2, 2011 was my last day of work before maternity leave.  That night I headed to town to finish up a few things before I went to the hospital on Friday night.  Well it was about 8:00 that night and I just pulled up to moms and this it where is began!  My brother called and he had been in an accident.  A pretty bad one to be exact and he totaled his brand new truck

Here is the before picture...

And here is the after.  :(

Once that got settled.  Friday was a little more relaxing.  I layed around a good bit that morning.  Then once I got ready mom, Laken, Natalie, and I went to get pedicures.  That afternoon.  Then Josh and Brennan met us at Cresent City and I had my last meal before going into the hospital.

We got to the hospital at about 7 and got checked in and settled for the night.  It was a long night as I began having mild contractions so I didn't sleep very well.

So Saturday of course our precious little girl was born.  More to come on this day in a future post.

Sunday was actually quiet.

Monday they let me go home that morning!! YAY!

We got home and about 30 minutes after mom and Laken arrived mom got a call from Gran Gran.  She had broken her elbow and dislocated it as well.  Most people that have a broken arm go get a cast and are done.  But not Gran Gran.  She went into the hospital on Monday, had surgery on Wednesday, and finally got to go home on Friday!

That Wednesday mom got news that Mrs. Jorns wasn't doing so well.

And then Thursday my father-in-law had a heart attack.  He had 2 stents put in on Friday and was back home by Saturday.

So Addy got to experience a full week of going.

Here is a picture of her first outing.  This was Tuesday and we were headed to take her to the doctor!  Isn't she just too cute!

Welcome to the World!!

June 4, 2011 was the greatest day ever in our little family!!  Not only were Josh and I married for 6 years on that day, but most importantly Addyson Jewel was born at 2:49 p.m.  She weighed 7lbs, was 20 inches long, and the most perfect baby.  We are SO in love with her.

She came here with a head full of hair!! We were pretty shocked by that.  I told someone she is the only child to ever need a haircut before ever leaving the hospital.  Her hair is so long that it goes over her ears and in the back it reaches her little outfits!
Here is one proud dad!!  He did really good through the delivery and he even cut the cord!!!  We were all shocked by that.  The doctor spoke up and asked okay who is going to cut the cord and out of no where we all heard a big sigh and Josh said "I will try."  He has done so good with her and she even grins when he walks in the door in the afternoons.  :)

I just love this picture.  She is such a pretty baby!

Here is our favorite family photo!  She just makes everything better! We love you Addyson Jewel!
